Courtney is a real estate lawyer representing a wide range of clients, including public and private real estate investment trusts, private equity investors and developers. Her practice focuses on the acquisition, development, financing and disposition of commercial real estate projects across a variety of asset types during all stages of the economic cycle, including office, industrial, retail, hospitality and multifamily. In addition to Courtney’s experience with commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions, joint ventures, and construction and permanent financings, she also represents clients with respect to real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions.
Courtney serves as the Talent/Diversity lead for the real estate group in Dallas.

Spear Street Capital in its acquisition of 500 West Monroe, a 966,924 square foot, 46-floor, Class A multi-tenant office building at the corner of Canal Street and Monroe Street in downtown Chicago, Illinois
A fund managed by Clarion Partners, LLC in its $335 million acquisition of Golden Triangle Industrial Park, an industrial warehouse park consisting of 11 buildings containing approximately 2.4 million square feet of space located on approximately 130 acres of land in Las Vegas, Nevada
Sunoco in the $3.3 billion sale of approximately 1,100 gas station/convenient stores located in 15 states to 7-Eleven
A publicly traded real estate investment trust in its $99 million acquisition of a 377,000 square foot, single tenant office building located in Hunt Valley, Maryland
A fund managed by Clarion Partners, LLC in a multi-phase joint venture with PaulsCorp for the development and construction financings of multiple industrial buildings on approximately 103 acres in Aurora, Colorado
A real estate investment company and its development partner in the acquisition, development, and construction financing of two industrial warehouses on approximately 69.27 acres of unimproved land located in North Las Vegas, Nevada
Crow Family Holdings in its $350 million refinancing by two co-lenders of a 1,606-room convention center hotel with approximately 600,000 square feet of meeting and event space
An Austin-based private investment firm in its $120 million disposition of a 1,700-acre master planned community in McKinney, Texas
Spear Street Capital in its financing of 225 West Wacker, a 650,812 square foot, 31-floor, trophy, Class A, headquarter-quality office building located on the south bank of the Chicago River in downtown Chicago, Illinois
A fund managed by Clarion Partners, LLC in its acquisition, development with Seefried Development Company, Inc., and construction financing of approximately 51.810 acres of unimproved land located in Gwinnett County, Georgia
A real estate investment firm in its leasing and $46 million disposition of 3131 Turtle Creek, a 13-floor, 318,230 square foot Class A multi-tenant office building in Dallas, Texas
Spirit Realty Capital in separate acquisitions of industrial, office and retail assets located in Alabama, California, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio, Oklahoma, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Texas
Daseke, Inc., the leading consolidator of flatbed and specialized transportation companies in North America, in its acquisition of eight companies over three years
Centerbridge Partners and its portfolio company, American Bath Group, a leading manufacturer of showers, bathtubs and related accessories, in its acquisition of DreamLine, a leading provider of branded premium glass shower doors, enclosures, and accessories under the DreamLine and Arizona Shower Door brands, from MPE Partners
Milestone Apartments Real Estate Investment Trust in the $1.9 billion acquisition, with Starwood Capital Group, of Landmark Apartment Trust, a multifamily real estate investment trust
