Stephanie Noble and Nick Shum to Speak at the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation's 45th Annual Institute
Energy litigation partners Stephanie Noble and Nick Shum will present on legal issues related to ownership of produced water and lithium extraction at this year’s Energy and Mineral Law Foundation 45th Annual Institute in Savannah, Georgia. The Annual Institute is a two-day continuing legal education program that covers a wide range of legal issues for energy and mineral law practitioners.
During their presentation, Stephanie and Nick will discuss legal questions related to lithium extraction from brine, including issues regarding ownership of produced water and mineral-extraction rights. They will cover recent litigation regarding ownership of brine in the oil-and-gas context, as well as updates on ongoing legislative and regulatory efforts to tackle issues related to lithium extraction.
