eDiscovery CLE: Defensible Legal Hold and Early Case Assessment

Thursday, March 11, 2010 | Houston, TX
Best practices and technology for eDiscovery are rapidly advancing. What was state-of-the-art yesterday may no longer be a defensible process today. At the same time, both corporate and outside counsel are dealing with increasing volumes of data, rising litigation costs, and shrinking budgets. The challenge is to manage eDiscovery in a cost-effective and defensible process that will avoid sanctions and meet the ever-evolving standard of reasonableness.

During this informative seminar, you will learn different methods on how to build a defensible process to mitigate risk and help protect your organization or clients from fines, sanctions, and spoliation of crucial data.

This complimentary CLE* will cover the following:
  • An understanding of the rapidly changing reasonableness standard
  • The judiciary and technology
  • Best practices for managing legal hold and early case assessment
  • The evolving expectation around reasonable and defensible processes
  • State-of-the-art, advanced technology for legal hold, preservation, collection, and early case assessment
  • Effective methods for mitigating risks, reducing costs, and minimizing process challenges
