Carrie’s practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions. She has experience representing purchasers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of improved (hotel, office, retail and industrial) and unimproved real estate, developers in the creation of mixed-use condominiums and of full service and limited service hotels, lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and preparation of loan documentation and landlords and tenants in the leasing and management of retail, office and industrial properties.

Acquisition of 1 AT&T Plaza, a 37-floor office building located in downtown Dallas, Texas
Represented leading secondary mortgage lender in connection with its contributions to community development investment funds, which has included transacting involving $550 million in multifamily assets
Represented a national leader in consumer service, products and training in obtaining its retail and academy locations, including preparation and negotiation of lease and lease amendments for new, existing and relocation sites
Represented Fortune 500 (the largest lodging REIT and one of the largest owners of luxury and upper-scale hotels) in the $55 million disposition of a 550-room hotel and 20,000 square feet of meeting space in Dallas, Texas
Represented a leading IT outsourcing company based in Dallas, Texas in connection with the negotiation of new leases and lease amendments for their national and international locations
Represented a company that specializes in assisted living facilities nationwide for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory impairment in connection with the acquisition, development, and financing of new independent and assisted living facilities
Represented owner/developer in connection with acquisition, financing and development of new full and limited service hotels; including a 300-room upscale full service hotel and 50,000 square foot conference center at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco, Texas and a 280-room upscale full service hotel in the Legacy West development in Plano, Texas
Negotiation of the formation of four joint ventures for the purpose of recapitalizing six senior housing, and the related loan transactions having an aggregate sales price of approximately $62.5 million
Represented the seller in the $147 million multi-state disposition of 24 senior living facilities
Represented a private real estate investment trust in the acquisition of five industrial properties valued at $25 million
Represented Big Box international retailer in the acquisition of new store locations
Represented Junior Box international retailer in connection with leasing national and international store locations
