Creating a Blueprint for the Future
I spent time during my V&E internship in both our litigation and intellectual property practice groups working directly with attorneys and other staff members. Though these aren’t the areas of law that I practice at the Firm today, I gained invaluable experience about life at a big law firm and continue to have close relationships with colleagues that I interacted with as an intern. The internship opportunity also solidified my desire to go to law school, and helped me speak about my interest in the law more specifically during the law firm and attorney recruiting process as a law student.
Interning at V&E during my summer before beginning law school was a very valuable experience. Not only did I learn about working in a professional legal environment, but I experienced the great collegial culture at V&E between attorneys and employees alike, motivating me through law school so I could come back as a summer associate one day.
