Japan
Vinson & Elkins opened our Tokyo office in 2004 to better serve our clients in Japan. With a focus on corporate and commercial law, our Japan practice most frequently advises on energy and infrastructure transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and project development matters. Our lawyers have been active in transactions in the Japanese market since the late 1990s. As a result, they have developed a deep proficiency in outbound investments.
Our Tokyo office serves as an important base for our Japan practice, and allows our lawyers to provide on-the-ground assistance to our Japanese energy and natural resources clients on a wide range of matters. V&E has premier Energy Mergers & Acquisitions, LNG, and Project Development practices in Japan, with leading experience across all aspects of the energy industry. We leverage the full capability of the global V&E team, making our Tokyo office uniquely suited to represent Japanese and Asian-Pacific clients abroad.
