Covia Energy and Black Mountain Sand Merge to Form Iron Oak Energy Solutions, Leading Proppant Supplier
Vinson & Elkins advised Black Mountain Sand LLC, a Texas-based in-basin frac sand provider, in connection with the closing of its definitive agreement to merge in an all-stock transaction with Covia Energy LLC.
The combined company, which now operates under the name Iron Oak Energy Solutions LLC, is a leading diversified proppant supplier in North America with an active annual production capacity of approximately 30 million tons of sand.
