Hilary Preston Selected as a 2024 Heroes Role Model

The Heroes Role Model List is sponsored by INvolve, a consultancy and global network founded in 2013 to help firms drive cultural change by transforming workplaces and mindsets. Applicants are evaluated based on their internal and external work championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace.

As the senior female leader at Vinson & Elkins, Hilary has been instrumental in cultivating a culture of inclusion and diversity at the firm. She is Co-Chair of the V&E Women’s Initiative, which works across the firm’s leadership to ensure the recruiting, retention, development, and promotion of women attorneys at every level. The initiative has been a catalyst for continued firm-wide investments for many programs and benefits. Hilary has also participated in active mentoring and allyship, and broadened opportunities for women through her work.

Earlier this year, Hilary appeared on the Beyond Barriers Podcast, where she offered advice to help prevent burnout and stressed the importance of fostering a workplace culture where professionals from diverse backgrounds feel encouraged to bring their true selves to work.
