SMT Energy Enters Into Partnership With SUSI Partners to Own and Operate U.S. Battery Energy Storage Projects
Vinson & Elkins advised SUSI Partners AG (“SUSI”), a leading Swiss-based sustainable energy infrastructure fund manager, in connection with an agreement with SMT Energy LLC (“SMT”), an experienced developer and operator of renewable energy and energy storage projects in the U.S., to jointly develop, own and operate multiple battery energy storage systems (“BESS”) in the United States.
The SUSI-SMT partnership incorporates a ready-to-build portfolio of ten standalone BESS projects in South Texas, with a combined capacity of 100 MW. A copy of the press release is below.
