Vinson & Elkins Continues to Expand London Corporate Practice with Addition of Energy and Infrastructure Counsel Bader Thabti

Vinson & Elkins announced today that it has hired Bader Thabti as counsel in the energy transactions and projects group of the corporate team in London.

Bader’s practice focuses on the development, structuring, financing and restructuring of complex natural resources, mining, power and infrastructure projects globally. He also has significant experience advising on the acquisition, disposal and trading of a broad range of energy and infrastructure assets and commodities.

Our commitment to serving our clients as their trusted adviser remains steadfast,” stated Ben Higson, Head of Vinson & Elkins’ London Corporate practice. “We are delighted to welcome Bader, who will complement our already strong team and further enhance our ability to tackle the most challenging issues in the energy and infrastructure sectors.”

“This is a great opportunity to play a part in the growth of Vinson & Elkins’ London corporate practice at this important stage” Bader said. “The firm has a world-class reputation and platform and understands the nature and needs of the energy and infrastructure markets and is fast becoming a key player in the energy transition. I look forward to working with the wider Vinson & Elkins energy transactions and infrastructure team in addressing the growing and complex demands for investment and financing in the energy and infrastructure sectors at this significant juncture in the energy transition.”

Bader joins the firm from Milbank. His arrival follows the news of the London office’s recent additions of energy, infrastructure and finance transactions partners Chris Taufatofua and Kilian de Cintré, who joined the firm from Milbank at the end of last year.

Bader received his law degree from the University of Kent and his LPC from the University of Law.
