Vinson & Elkins Enhances London Corporate Practice with Addition of Energy and Infrastructure Partner Kilian de Cintré

Kilian de Cintré of Vinson & Elkins London

Vinson & Elkins announced today that it has expanded its corporate and finance practice in London with the addition of Kilian de Cintré, who joins the firm from Milbank.

Kilian has extensive experience acting for sponsors, development finance institutions, commercial lenders and export credit agencies on the development, structuring and financing of complex natural resources, infrastructure and energy projects internationally. He also has extensive knowledge of project development and commercial documentation.

“Vinson & Elkins is at the forefront of the energy and infrastructure sectors,” said Kaam Sahely, Co-Head of the firm’s Corporate department. “As our clients continue to invest in the energy transition and large-scale infrastructure projects, Kilian’s experience in all aspects of developing, financing and investing in complex projects and assets will be invaluable. We continue to build our London presence in response to very strong and sustained demand in a number of markets from our clients.”

“With his cross-industry experience and approach to working across practice groups, Kilian is a natural complement to the firm’s London corporate and finance practice and culture,” said Ben Higson, Head of Vinson & Elkins’ London Corporate practice. “Alongside Chris Taufatofua, he is another very valuable addition, especially as demand grows for investment in, and financing for, projects in the energy transition space.”

“Vinson & Elkins is unique in its genuinely deep and broad experience across the entire energy and infrastructure value chain. This is of fundamental importance to advising clients as they navigate a dynamic international political landscape, where energy security is increasingly a concern. I am looking forward to leveraging this in bringing the next level of advice to my clients,” said Kilian de Cintré.

Kilian de Cintré’s arrival follows the news of the firm’s recent addition of energy, infrastructure and finance transactions partner Chris Taufatofua, who joined the firm last month from Milbank.

Kilian received his law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
