Ale Valentini
Ale Valentini was born into a multicultural family in Venezuela, experiencing the rich blend of Italian and Scottish influences. Her father, an Italian entrepreneur, and her Scottish mother instilled in her a global perspective from a young age. Her academic journey led her to Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, where she immersed herself in the intricacies of finance and accounting. Valentini graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Accountancy—a solid foundation that would underpin her future career.
Ale’s professional path began at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she honed her skills in accounting and financial management. It was during this time that she met her husband, a meeting that would eventually take her to the United States, broadening her horizons and enriching her personal and professional life. Together, they welcomed their son, Luca, in 2010.
In April 2005, Ale joined Vinson & Elkins as international accounting manager. Her responsibilities involved handling intricate financial matters and spearheading strategic initiatives across different countries. Her time in the tax department further honed her fiscal expertise, significantly benefiting the firm’s financial objectives. In October 2007, she transitioned to the role of manager in financial planning and analysis, which allowed her to delve deeper into strategic financial planning, a critical component of the firm’s growth and success.
After a brief hiatus to embrace the joys of motherhood, Ale returned to the firm in 2012 with renewed vigor, joining the practice management group. Here, she found her true calling, blending her passion for finance with the dynamic world of legal practice management. As the senior global director of practice management, she now leads with a vision that is both analytically rigorous and culturally informed, drawing on her diverse background and extensive experience to steer the firm towards a prosperous future.
In her free time, Ale enjoys traveling, hiking, watching movies with her family, and cooking authentic Italian foods.
