Andrew is a member of the firm’s Litigation group. His practice focuses on complex business and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, including securities litigation, financial institutions litigation, and bankruptcy litigation.
Andrew has worked with clients from many diverse industries, including financial services, energy, food processing, electronics, and real estate.
Experience Highlights
Representing a major energy company in a lawsuit brought by minority shareholders concerning a related-party transaction performed by the majority shareholder (lead associate)
Representing a private equity master limited partnership sponsor in a lawsuit relating to the dilution of our client’s retained interest in the underlying partnership (lead associate)
Representing a leading private equity firm and its affiliated entities in a consolidated series of three putative class action lawsuits, resulting in dismissal of all claims against our client (lead associate)
Representing two members of an LLC against multiple lawsuits relating to claims made, including breach of contract, by other LLC members (lead)
Representing a major energy company relating to claims against a contractor failing to properly construct a natural gas processing facility (lead associate)
Representing an energy company in an investigation being performed by the SEC (lead associate)
Representing an energy master limited partnership in multiple lawsuits relating to an acquisition and a dropdown of assets (lead associate)
Successfully obtained a jury verdict for our client in a private nuisance action for injunctive relief (trial team)
Representing a large retailer in an investigation being performed by the SEC (lead associate)
Represented an energy corporation against various contract claims resulting in a jury verdict for our client (assisted)
Represented a former executive officer facing various state corporate governance and federal securities law claims (assisted)
Representing a master limited partnership, and its directors and officers, in lawsuits in Missouri and Delaware arising from a simplification transaction (assisted)
(E.D. Tex.) — Defended a financial services company in a well-known patent infringement action in which the plaintiff asserted four patents related to check imaging and processing; we were able to obtain a severance from the main action involving more than 50 defendants, limit discovery significantly, and achieve a favorable settlement for our client (assisted)
Represented a meat processing plant in a contract dispute involving a recall of certain food products (assisted)
Assisted a major financial institution in obtaining a receivership over an entity that had defaulted on loans
