Camilo serves as Head of International Disputes – Americas. His practice focuses on the litigation and arbitration of complex international commercial and investor-state disputes. Recognized as a leading international arbitration lawyer by Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, Chambers USA, Legal 500 and LatinVex, he is particularly regarded for his keen understanding of Latin American commercial arbitrations, advising clients in disputes across the region.

Camilo has handled dozens of international commercial arbitration matters under the various international arbitration rules, including AAA/ICDR, ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, SIAC and ICC, in a variety of forums around the world, and under the laws of numerous jurisdictions. He also has substantial experience handling disputes under investment treaties and disputes related to oil & gas, as well as large infrastructure projects.
In addition, Camilo represents clients before U.S. state and federal courts in litigation related to arbitration issues, including the enforcement of awards, applications to obtain evidence in aid of arbitration, and seeking preliminary relief. Camilo also holds a law degree from a civil law jurisdiction, often seats as an arbitrator, and is a regular speaker at industry conferences.
