Elena is an associate in the International Dispute Resolution & Arbitration practice.

She has experience working with clients on various matters of international arbitration and litigation matters, particularly within the energy and construction sectors.

Elena is a member of the ArbitralWomen Board for the 2024–2026 term. ArbitralWomen is a global nonprofit that works to support and promote women in international dispute resolution, through networking, mentoring and profile-raising opportunities.

Elena is half French and half Italian, and was born in Belgium.

Experience Highlights

  • Representing a Middle Eastern state-owned entity in an ICC arbitration against a Dutch salvage contractor involving breaches of contract

  • Acting on a number of ICC arbitrations and referrals to a Dispute Adjudication Board in connection with the design and construction of a major maritime project in Central America

  • Advising a U.S. engineering consultancy firm about disputes arising out of the design and construction of new rail infrastructure in the Middle East 

  • Acting for a German EPC contractor in relation to multiple adjudications arising from the construction of an energy-from-waste facility in England

  • Acting for Middle-Eastern state-owned entity in an ICC arbitration relating to a salvage project

  • Representing an international exploration and production company in a dispute regarding environmental warranties relating to Latin American assets

  • Representing an international exploration and production company relating to interests under a joint venture in West Africa
