Joo Hyun Lee’s principal area of practice is Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits. Joo provides guidance on a wide range of compensation and employee benefits issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, sales, and equity offerings, among others. She also advises public and private companies on a range of compensatory and benefit arrangements.

The following experience was completed prior to joining Vinson & Elkins.

Experience Highlights

  • A leading American private equity firm in connection with a number of transactions, including its investment in an American home security system company and its acquisition of an application security testing company; as well as its portfolio company, a leading provider of insurance technology and software, in its acquisition of an insurance application company

  • One of the largest independent fiber infrastructure bandwidth companies in its acquisition of a telecommunications service provider

  • A major REIT in its acquisition of a luxury hotel and casino and in its joint venture to acquire two additional luxury hotels and casinos

  • A British private equity firm in its sale of a global medical device company

  • A financial services company in its merger with a multinational financial technology services company
