Zach advises lenders, borrowers, private equity sponsors, and alternative capital providers on a wide range of financing transactions, including acquisition and leveraged finance, asset-based lending, reserve-based lending, project and infrastructure finance, private credit and special situations, and distressed debt.
Zach has extensive experience in the energy sector, representing clients in transactions involving upstream, midstream, downstream, and renewable energy assets and businesses. He has also handled complex financings for aviation, infrastructure, and technology companies. Zach combines his finance expertise with his industry knowledge to provide practical and effective solutions for his clients.

Apollo in a $250 million senior secured term loan B to NGL Energy Partners
HPS Investment Partners in a $250 million secured holdco delayed draw term loan to a Permian-focused upstream E&P company
Angelo Gordon & Co. in a $140 million senior secured term loan to an upstream E&P company
Anadarko Petroleum on behalf of its master limited partnership Western Midstream in a $3 billion loan from Barclays Bank PLC
Midland-Petro D.C. Partners in a joint venture with Andros Capital Partners, in which Andros’ affiliate Andros Permian will fund approximately $150 million for the development of oil and gas properties in the highly productive Spraberry and Wolfcamp formations in Midland County, Texas
Advising an infrastructure fund in the multi-billion dollar term loan B acquisition financing of a stake in a large, diversified pipeline business in the United States

Private upstream E&P company in the $215 million distressed sale of substantially all of their assets in Sublette County, Wyoming (Pinedale Field) to a strategic buyer with the consent of the company’s lenders, who cancelled all debt in excess of the purchase price in connection with the out-of-court transaction
Riverstone Credit Partners as administrative agent and lender on behalf of a syndicate of lenders under a $410 million term loan facility in the restructuring of MTE Holdings and its subsequent chapter 11 cases and related litigation
Wells Fargo Bank as Administrative Agent, DIP Agent, and Exit Facility Agent in Oasis Petroleum’s restructuring and prepackaged chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including a $450 million DIP financing and $575 million exit financing
Lilis Energy in an in-court sale process in which substantially all of the company’s operating assets were sold to Ameredev Texas LLC as part of its chapter 11 cases involving approximately $400 million in total liabilities
Carbo Ceramics in an in-court restructuring involving a debt-for-equity exchange with the company’s prepetition and DIP lenders
Nisource, Inc. in three credit facilities with an aggregate of $3.5 billion
